Time to hit the trails!


Are you tired of spending the whole weekend sitting on a couch? Do you feel you lost touch with nature? Then this article is just for you. Along my life I have discovered the benefits of cycling and thanks to this wonderful sport I found my way back to nature. I live in rural area but opposing what you might think, I spend or at least I used to spend most of my time at home watching TV or sitting behind the monitor of my computer, something that now I regret. I encourage you to go ahead and see for yourself what I mean.

First of all cycling is a really effective way of doing exercise; it will give a good tone to your muscles and help you reduce fat. It is already considered a fact that cycling is in many ways better exercise than running, it is safer and the results will show much earlier. In simple words it is just good for your health.

Second for anyone who cares about the environment cycling to college or to work is a perfect way of moving around without polluting or damaging nature. In our modern society were the concerns for nature grows every day providing people with an alternative and non-polutive way of transport seems really important to me and I can see I am not the only one, since the local government is investing in bike parks and better roads for cyclists.

Another thing to take into account is the fact that this sport will take you back to nature, you will recover or even meet for the first time this amazing feeling of freedom that one can only get by riding a bike. In my personal experience I met some places that I never could have imagined before and got surprised by the amount of trail in my local area.

To sum up I should say that if you feel trapped in the daily routine, this sport is the way to go. It will bring a bunch of benefits to your health, you will save money and protect the environment, all that with just a few hour of cycling every day.
