Going down the rapids of El Bolsón and its surroundings

If you see yourself as an adventurous person and you are willing to try something exciting and a little dangerous, here in El Bolson we can offer you exactly what you need, rafting!

Rafting is an extreme sport that is practiced over white waters, in a river with a group of people on a boat. It consists in going down the river rapids rowing, trying to avoid rocks, fallen trees and other obstacles.
It’s not as easy as it looks, but we have different kinds of rafting levels, from beginners to experts in the sport.

If you are a beginner and you want to give rafting a try, I can recommend you the “rio Azul”.
Its rapids are perfect for someone who is still insecure and a bit scared; this will make your fear go away.

LEVEL: Beginners

If your expectations are a little bit higher, and you feel you want to try something slightly harder and extreme, you should choose the “Rio Manso Inferior” rapids.

This river has an intermediate level, however if you are a beginner with courage this is the perfect excursion for you. My recommendation is that only those who can swim well should try it.

LEVEL: intermediate
TIME: 7 hs.

For extreme sport addicts, who love adrenaline, El Bolson can offer you the “Rio Manso Frontera” rapids. It’s for people who have already tried this sport and who know the basic techniques.

LEVEL: experts
TIME: all day

Every excursion includes an expert rafting guide, who will show you the basics to try this sport. As it lasts all day, before you start the rafting you will have an hour to eat breakfast with the group.

EQUIPMENT: you will be given a helmet and a life jacket. I also recommend you to go with comfortable sporty clothes and a lot of energy!
