Wanting to enjoy the view from another perspective? Anxious to reach a summit for the first time?

Why don´t start with Mount Currumahuida, in Lake Puelo? It´s appropiate for begginers and it´s only 20 mins away from Bolsón.

Take San Martin Av (main road) and head south along Route 16, until you reach at the roundabout to Puelo. Take left and keep on going. After 5 minutes you´ll see the dirt road and, the lake beyond it. You can leave your car on the parking area.

If you want further information about the National Park or alternative activities, the guides in the Tourism Office next to the parking, will be delighted to help you.

Go Straight to the lake and when you see a path on your left (through the woods), take it. You will then arrive at the coast (it´s easy to recognize, a group of yachts are anchored at the jetties). Go along the shore until you reach a sand coast (known as "la Playita"). On the right of it, rises a narrow trail, that goes up the hill crossing the forest. You can´t miss it, it´s practically impossible!!

The journey lasts around 4 hours. There are many panoramic view points along the trail. The landscapes are astonishing, you´ll be able to have a wonderful picture of the valley and the lake, of course.

Be careful with the mist, in foggy damp days it really makes it difficult to see. I suggest you to check windguru.com. It´s a really reliable site, the prognosis is surprisingly accurate.
